2024 Set in Stone

 Hi all! Happy New Year.

Before we get too far away from 2024 (Editing Me from the future: hahahahaha), I wanted to take some time and spotlight the Stone horses from the year that I admired and say some nice things about them :) It really shows the scale of just how many models they produced in the inaugural year of Volo Artem ownership, that I am VERY picky about molds, colors, and customizations that I enjoy and I still found over 400 models to talk about. Not every model I'll talk about is one that I would choose to buy if I had unlimited money, however, every model shown here I think is notable in some way that caught my attention above and beyond others.

Of course, typical disclaimer that everything here is my opinion and is no way meant to represent my feelings towards the people who created the artwork. Each and every one is so talented! It's really cool that in our community we do have such a massive variety of opinions and tastes, because Stone makes something for everyone.

The pics here will be separated by mold, and molds in alphabetical order, for ease of scrolling around if you'd like. At the end, I'll include the ones I added to my collection.

Arabian - Traditional (Original Mold)

I really enjoyed the softness and fullness of this tail

This guy is all about DRAMA and the mane & tail make that statement!

I always enjoy a good straightened head on this mold, and the piece-y tail is cool

                                                               This color just glows!

There's just something about a nice fleabitten gray that draws me in

Sometimes, a simple bay with some shimmer is all you need

This buckskin is understated, but stunning!

 Arabian Mare - Traditional

I don't collect this mold, but the purple color here is superb

 Arabian Foal - Traditional

The format messed up a bit here, so I'll talk about both foals on this line. The realistic foal has such a spark to her that drew me in - I also don't collect this mold. The second one is an example of a color that I find fairly close to my ideal decorator (give me GALAXY horses in pink/purple/blue with more dramatic shading and stars and I will be SOO happy)

Arabian Yearling

Again, this is a mold that I don't collect, but this is a stunning purple color

ASB Pebbles

Here is another PERFECT pair that I would love if the colors were on other molds! Unfortunately, I don't seek out this mold because I can't get past the uneven hind hooves. It is so neat aside from that!

ASB - Traditional

Tobiano pintos look fabulous on this mold, and the split tail is neat!

Look at the dramatic cat tracks on this beauty!

As I've said already, sometimes simple can be very powerful. This one has no                                                    customization and instead lets the paintwork do all the talking

This purple-blue color is so awesome!

I love that Erin jumped into painting along the way this year! Her pieces are all so vibrant and                                                   inspiring. And this one, of course is very similar to Sublime :)

The little details in the mane and tail are a great accompaniment to the soft white gray color

The pinned ears really set this customization apart from the standard, forward pricked ears

OH MY this color is FABULOUS, I would love to see more of it!

Bunny

I like this tail on the mold and she has a sweet face

The mane and tail on this one drape so nicely, and are underscored so well by
 Sheryl's  masterful dapple gray

The swoop-y, piece-y mane and forelock are really cute with the longer tail

I love the swishing tail on this one!

This gal's spiky mane and pinned ears give her so much personality. No wonder she was popular!

The details in this mane are also super intricate and lovely

I love a good roan and the hair on this one works really well too

Check out the drama in this mane! So striking!

Caroline's roans are always enjoyable and the hair complements it well

I love this concept! It's a great way to add a little whimsy and still be realistic in color

I'm not attracted to a ton of braided versions of this mold, but this one is really harmonious!

The ISH tail is surprisingly awesome on this mold, and the pinto pattern looks great too

Roan pinto roan pinto! The tail is really cute

The windblown hair brings a lot of visual interest to this mold (and yay roan)

Here's another ISH tail and drool worthy roan color

I like how this shaggy mane and tail pairs with the soft pangare chestnut

                                                          Another lovely ISH tail model

This color is similar to the last, but it's a nice representation of how the hair changes the mold's aura

Luscious chestnut and dreamy, perfectly sculpted hair

Caroline must have had so much fun with deco paints this year, this is a fantastic example of her craft!

The striking blue to white color gradient along with the dramatic tail puddle really sells the story of the  piece

This mane is iconic and the shaded bay paired with it is delicious

I love a really dramatic gray with white mane and tail

Here is another expertly crafted, glowy red bay!

This chestnut's mane adds so much character to the mold

I adore the concept of mane chalk that has been utilized a few times in 2024. It's also a great way to add a pop of fanciful color while still allowing the model overall to be realistic

I really hope the new owner of this one shares pictures in different lights because she looks so interesting!

Chip Cow

I am a horse gal, not a cow gal, but how CUTE does the mold look with a horn??

Chips Andalusian

                                                         This chestnut color is perfection

I thought it was really cool to see a bunch of old samples listed this year!

This guy is such a nice rich red bay

The tucked head customization sets this guy apart from the crowd

Pintado is a CLASSIC, iconic model, always great to see him represented

This is another really pretty bay!

This is such a lovely rainbow colorway!

Here's another absolutely gorgeous bay, and with metallic, whew!

I adore the swishy tail, this guy was one of my top choices for the LHS sale

The fetlock hair elevates this guy above his peers!

This is a cute metallic color. I've loved to see Jamie's experimentation with metallics this year

This guy is just spectacular! The gradient and pattern are the cherry on top

The whole Little Sparkle series is super cool, and it's one of the series I was sad to miss out on by not attending the Friday Dinner at EQ.

Kristen has made so many innovative strides with combining parts of different molds this year, and this guy I wanted to feature because he is one of the most cohesive results. Because I'm so OF-oriented, I've always struggled with customs that combine more than one mold still looking to me like the different parts rather than a new whole sometimes. Wisonia is expertly crafted and does not give me that same visual-brain jarring confusion effect (which of course is a me thing and not something everyone sees in these types of customs).

This purple color is delectable and I think it should be on every mold

This blue color is also really outstanding!

This type of color is not always my jam, but this guy wears it really well and it speaks to me

A nice black color isn't as easy as most people think, and it makes a statement when it is well done

I liked all of these gold Chips by Erin, and chose this one to include in the blog because of his name!

This guy is just so perfect in every way!!!

This chip is a major cutie!

Chip Arab

Zodiac is another super neat older model

The samples of both the custom and non-custom versions of this model were available during the sale

The etching really stands out well against the bright coppery chestnut. Fantastic!

Super glowy light chestnut, very pretty

I am always picky about appaloosas, I really enjoy the combination of the colors and pattern on this!

Yet another cool sample, and already glossy!

You'll see I highlighted a bunch of grays & blacks on this mold - it lends itself well to these colors!

Soft gray shading in contrast to the darker mane screams "look at me"!

I do love a really nice chestnut! Whether with metallic or no, this is one of my favorite shades

Shimmery, satin-y buckskin. Delightful!

I (amazingly) had time to save pictures prior to EQ of all the offerings we knew about ahead of time, so I'd be familiar with what I might be seeing on Thursday night. I liked several of these gray Arabians by Jess!

This guy was definitely my favorite Tiny Gray Arabian! Stunning

I am always here for a shimmery blue & purple deco!

Love the rich dark bay color on this Arab!

This is a classic example of the roan technique I admire Stone for so much!

Another very lovely dark bay

Pretty black with subtle undertones brings a lot of dimension to the model

I also really enjoyed the black and black/deco appies and pintos by Jamie from the holiday sale

Of course, a lovely gold looks great too!

This dynamic blue coat is just so dreamy!

Chip Cutter

This creamy color suits this mold really well!

Red dun is also a striking color on the mold

I don't collect the calves, but how cute is this pair with the purple?

The Cthulhu series managed to get pretty close to a deco color I'd love to see (galaxy) in the technique I think would look lovely! Most (?) of this series has some sort of larger object in the design. I'd love to see a color similar to this with no "space objects" and mixed with some blues and pinks, maybe some glitter...drool!
This one is STUNNING! I love it so much. I have no idea how much it sold for but if I ever had the opportunity and the money, he'd come home with me in a heartbeat.

Lovely blue roan! I haven't mentioned in this section yet, but a Chips Cutter is one of the molds I want to add to my collection for the first time in 2025.
I may not be a huge buckskin fan but there's something about buttermilk buckskin that just melts me
I enjoy a shimmery color that gives the effect of a healthy, well groomed horse
This rainbow chips series by Erin is super adorable and unfortunately I was busy that day so I missed out
I entered for this drawing, but sadly since there's only one I was not the lucky winner
I'm really picky about the "models inspired by other animal colors", but this one translates well and could reasonably be seen as a Horse Color, so I like him
This black appy is really smart too!
Love this simple but elegant deco color
Super fun black tobiano! I think I may particularly gravitate towards realistic pintos on this mold this year, since Paint is the stock breed I have the least Stones of so that would tick off two collection goals at once
While I do not usually find myself drawn to this painter's style (it's just not a match for my tastes and that's fine, I'm sure plenty to do like it 💗) in this case I like how it pairs with the customization on this mold

Chip Draft

The Chips drafter also had several samples available in the spring, including the iconic Mini Me Maggie with the dramatic long tail!

The Little Sparkles are super cute and I just had to include this draft in the list as well!
It was a lot of fun to be at the launch party for this drawing! I didn't win myself but a few friends did so there was a lot to celebrate.
There's something about a great black tobiano pattern that I find so lovely
This speckly purple roan is a spectacular melding of realistic and fantastical colors
These littles have the cutest blaze face!
One of the coolest deco-realism intersection designs that's become popular in the last few years is pattern markings outlined in gold. I love to see it!
I love the more subtle neck and head changes on this one paired with the sweeping, drastic tail
This is such a soft looking color, between the shading and dapples
More black appies are always welcome!
As well as black tobianos! Check out the extra spot detailing
This is very dynamic bright pink color with a pleasing aura
Heather is masterful at blending colors and getting a vibrant & glowing result, both the buckskin and bay here are great examples of her achievements in OF paint!

Chip Foal

Cute little blue/purple metallic on this foal!
This foal lends itself really well to fantasy and the gold accents make a dramatic, attention grabbing pop of contrast
Here we have just a cute little sorrel doing cute sorrel things
I would not be doing my personality justice if I didn't call out the Holo art whenever I see it :D
Another lovely rainbow metallic by Erin!

Very cute deco appy!

Chip Friesian

The Friesian is another mold who had a few older samples sold in the spring
The Chips Friesian is the other Chips mold I'd like to add to my herd for the first time this year. I think this one is my favorite from 2024!
Here we have a cute simple red bay who is nicely done and is among the $99 offerings from this year. I did not grab any myself but know this program was well appreciated by the community
It's hard to tell, but I think this one is a blue-black? And some nice shimmer!
This one is similar to the last but with less blue tones. Both lovely!
Here is another of the Cthulhu series that I liked the color scheme on. I considered trying for a Chips in the series but eventually passed it up at the time. I think there were fewer designs I loved than ones I liked enough to have paid the going rate for.
This is a really neat design, I don't typically like splash but it works well here because it reminds me of a snowy landscape set against a blue sky
The little detail of a tucked head and altered foreleg make this piece sing
Love this bright pop of purple!
HOLO RAINBOW HOLO RAINBOW
Love the sooty shading on this guy!
A simple blue-black is a running theme of my favorites on this mold from the year!

Chip Morgan

Stone has always drawn me in with their well-done roans
Such a pretty tobiano!
I love the turned head and tail here
Simple but lovely execution of suburnt black
This color is super and the pattern accentuates it very well
Here's another Cthulhu release that I admired!
What an adorable little herd of pintos!
Ooooh I think this color is fabulous! More like this please!
Very bright and eye catching electric blue!
This realistic tone also pops in vivid color!
Love, love me a nice deep shiny blue <3

Chip Mule

A soft and pretty light palomino
More drool worthy roan goodness!

Spectacular & stunning in every way! This Zebra series made folks sit up and pay attention and that is well deserved
Just a pretty gold-ish white. Simple and clean <3
This tye-dye-esque rainbow series from the LHS event was super fun! I'm glad I got my first pick from that event, but I'd considered these as an option too.
Gorgeous PURPLE!!
Stunning undertones on this bay! Very dynamic
Lovely Halloween deco concept
Another very coppery mule, lovely execution on this color
More roan! Including lots of freckles
ERIN RAINBOW MULE <3
Pretty golden dun towing that line between realism and unrealistic territories very well!

Chip Pony

Lovely bay roan pony!!
A simple but effective use of black and white on this piece
Electric Raspberry sums her up perfectly!
Absolutely lovely liver chestnut! This is a color I can be pickier about, so I'm pleased when I see ones I'm impressed by
Speaking of colors I can be picky about, here's a cremello! The little details here make this one just perfect
I do love a well done black color, if I haven't said that already somewhere xD
Pretty and soft looking palomino
More rainbow themes! I'm a 90's kid but I'm sure the 80's kids loved the nod to Rainbow Brite
OMG, the changes on this one are exceptional. Not the most drastic of customs, but she still looks distinctly different from the non custom OG. Just lovely
Super cute bay pinto! :)
Similar to the other black one above, it speaks well to my tastes!
A small cutie just having a fun time
So, I don't recall if I've brought this up yet, but deco style murals generally are not My Thing. However, since this one is blue and the color palette is limited, it's more appealing in this case. The pattern is also quite pretty and I enjoy the balance of colors on the piece.
I imagine this one looks cooler in person "lavender steel gray". Sounds very intriguing!
Another really nice deco concept that's very my speed (metallics, blending realistic & unrealistic elements)
Here's another pony that's advertised as deco but especially from this further perspective, could pass for bay in some lighting!
Very cute grulla with some lovely subtle dapples
This light gray with super soft shading and dapples is exquisite! In fact, I definitely bought something else in this colorway last year and you'll see her at the end :D
Final Small Pony! Super details - the reverse dapples are an unusual and interesting touch

Chip Rearing

I forget if this guy is a sample from a previous year or not, but the freckling on this roan is soo nice
A pretty, standard chestnut color with just a little chrome
Hello yes I would like all the roans on this mold please
Hiii there my ideal shade of chestnut, aren't you gorgeous
More Erin Rainbows <3

Chip Stock

Surprisingly I didn't connect with a lot of the standing stock horses in 2024, but this guy was one of the few models that almost drew me in to participate in the Valentines sale. Gotta love a good gold color!

Chip TB

I used to own one of the Schylling Stone TB Chips, but I haven't owned another since. This buckskin is lovely
This Arabian Nights promotion had some incredible chestnuts!
Here's another shade of gray I adore - dark with some lighter shading to add contrast
This one as well, in a similar vein - more medium toned overall but lots of contrast!
I mostly seemed to enjoy chestnuts and grays on this mold in 2024, I guess! Here is a very nice coppery shade

Chip WB

Hellloooo here is another night-sky type deco, not a Galaxy exactly but still worth shouting out. Lovely deep blue!
The Arabian Nights chestnuts just keep delivering stunning shades!
Freckly, light fleabit grays are a delight
Now this guy is a superb contrast-y gray, and also with dapples!

Freckly gold color! Super cute deco :)

Chip Groups

These light gray colorways are lovely! I'd probably do more with grab bags if I wasn't more interested in targeting specific molds (yeah trading is a thing, but still lol)
I appreciated this collection for the night sky theme and HOLO. Unfortunately I didn't grab one but maybe someday there will be something else similar
The concept of rainbow on a dark base is lovely!! I did not attend the Friday dinner and I believe these sold out prior to my next pass through the Store on Saturday
I like the variety of pintos here, but my favorite is definitely the chestnut pinto

Hairy Cob

Yay!! We have finally left Mini Land for more Large Molds. This is a lovely intricate tobiano
My favorite part of this guy is how the mane drapes over the neck!
Buttermilk buckskin is one of my favorite buckskin shades!
A pretty pinto! I think this is a Remington mane? It looks nice on him
Sheryl is masterful at her dappled colors and this guy is a stunner!
Such a deeply shaded, rich bay with just the right touch of dapples
Color, customization, and markings combo on this guy is fab!
Here's another with the Remmy mane that pairs nicely with this tail!

Super nice golden buckskin fellow

Iberian

More stunning dapple gray by Sheryl!
I really appreciate this customization on this mold, though it especially speaks to me in this light buckskin, having the soft yet strong contrast
Can we do all puddle tails like this from now on? Hello???
The drama in this guy is top notch!
I enjoy the different elements of this piece working together to create a masterful result
A lovely soft but contrast-y grulla
Lovely dark bay! I also like this tail plus the choice of mane and forelock here
The vibrancy of this color is *chef's kiss*
I am not the biggest fan of this puddle tail with the odd bend below the hock, but I wanted to mention this MANE! Holy crow that's good
I enjoy this color, and he's another one with fabulous hair!!
Ooooh a teal unicorn!! Magical and mystical and perfect
A nice clean dark bay, simple and elegant
Very nice copper chestnut
Love this colorway having just a hint of the fantastical!
I forgive the tail on this piece because it otherwise ties in so well and every part of this is so harmonious

Irish Draft

I am a bit unsure how I feel about this hair but it is a lovely color and I like the energy it brings
Lovely copper chestnut!
A seal bay, the gold standard and done up in hunter braids. I hope this guy went to a person who loves performance because he would be stunning in tack
I am not usually a super fan of blond sorrels, but this guy gives me Belgian cross vibes and it just works on him
A pretty dapple palomino!
Here's another great example of a mostly realistic colorway that takes a slight left into fantasy land and looks really cool. Also, purple = fun
Lovely, lovely dark gray
I enjoyed this bay roan with an interesting tobiano pattern. I definitely seem to like the braided ones a lot on this mold

ISH

Hello handsome hair!
A simple non CM red dun, but lovely and appealing
The GOAT of hair, holy moly! Hats off to the folks who worked on this masterpiece!
SO while I started writing this blog at the beginning of January, I am writing this current line in late May. I attended a local show on the 24th and it turns out this guy is owned by one of my friends! In fact I think he's the first model I pulled my camera out for. He's just an incredible eye-catcher
I love a windswept mane and tail on this mold, and the palomino coat is pretty!
Lovely soft buckskin, and the lifted tail is quite nice
I am very much a tobiano gal when it comes to pintos, but some overos get exceptions, like this guy! Very nice lacy pattern and of course enjoy the base roan color
Another super cool tye-dye rainbow concept with the gold edging.
Hiiii handsome. This dude is the whole package. Customization I like, great base color, and great pattern
Just shouting this guy out because it was neat to see them in person!
Another piece of perfection, with the roan color and the customization - cloud nine
I just like purple things
Pretty blue plus the gold mapping technique
Stunning silver dun guy here. More top notch work!

Morgan (Santa Fe)

Fabulous dapples for days!
Another case where murals are not my thing but I'm here to appreciate the color palette and overall vibe. Especially the white to purple to gold tail?? Awesome
Lovely gray and the change to this tail makes me like it more here
Velvety soft buckskin, and I love the forelock over the eye
The artistic vision on this guy is *incredible*. The color is so fantastic I'm having a hard time finding the right word to describe it and that customization underlines it perfectly
*singing* Purrrple Raiiinbow
Super cool bay roan! This guy and the next few were some of my "options I think are cool and would buy" list for the holiday sale, since I still don't have a Santa Fe Morgan.
Color-wise, this is my favorite of the holiday sale Morgans
But the pinned ears and swirly tail customization grabbed me too!
Of course, roans are always a hit with me
I was also drawn in by this metallic guy
Between this guy and Luigi, I like this color slightly better I think

Mule - Traditional

Stone's names sometimes just SEND me 😂
Lovely pale lavender!
Super pretty, uncommon color!
Pastel zebra deco muleeee <3
I liked seeing this non-CM rendition of the Velveteen colorway
Sweet chestnut with the spiky mane
Lovely tobiano plus soft dun color = hearts
This is indeed a Wild Ride and I am here for every moment
Spotty, dapple-y goodness!
As I've said previously, this colorway series on all 3 molds is top tier and deserved all the accolades
I have really enjoyed the spiky mane plus TB tail combo
She is SO PRETTY 😍
This is another fantastic execution of the realism-meets-deco concept and sadly most of these sold on the Dinner night that I wasn't able to attend
Pretty bay roan!
Fun fact, my friend who owns the Cermele pinto ISH also owns this gal and I got to see her in person at the last show too. Stunning mule <3
Yet another model I got to meet recently at the show, but owned by a different person. So pretty!
These are really pretty, I love the shaded gold and silver prizes/judges models from 2024 (but especially the Mules)
Pretty in chestnut!
This is such a cool concept! Kristen did a great job of incorporating the roaning on this model seamlessly
Spicy Mule!!
Super deco color!
I cannot say enough about how cool this piece is! To know how much plastic needed to be added to pull this off, and then to style it so perfectly. The amazing paint work is the cherry on top. Absolutely elevating the gold standard here!
Super soft and pretty gal!
A certified Cinnamon Roll with a hint of Sinnamon 😂
If it wasn't enough that I'm a roan fan, how can I not include her here for this exceptionally silly goose perfect name?
Oooh we got a dark gray! With ear customization! And spiky mane!
She is the moment, she is fashion
Superb combination of realism and deco elements, cheers to Dawn!

Red dun! And an overo design I like quite a bit!

Mustang - Traditional

So I don't really enjoy this mold, but these two colors are out of this WORLD and I am eager to see similar colors on other molds!

Palouse

Super lovely roan tobiano!!
This buckskin tobiano is also really awesome

Pebble Arab

I love this color combo! (I'd love it even more if the mane and tail were all gold but that's a tiny detail)
Roannnnn appy!
Such a sweet, well executed standard bay with the soft shading to stand out in a crowd of standard bays
The dapple-y gold color that I enjoy, again!
"Bay florentine" is such an interesting concept! I assume the gold dapple is layered over the bay here, but it's hard to tell from the photo for sure
This absolute queen is one of the models from 2024 that got much closer to my "ideal" galaxy deco. Not 100% but certainly enough to drool over. And that tail!!
Coppery bronze-y goodness!
Loveee me a good light dapple gray! However, my favorite aspect here is the customization - the clean neck on the show side and the softly fluttering tail
Very nice dark bay (again without mane tendril on show side, always a plus with me)
Absolute stunner of a roan color

Pebble Draft

Blue appalooosa <3
Very nice roan pinto
She looks like she'd be soft to pet!
Here's another color I'm picky about but I like how it works here
Super nice customization on this!!
I like the long tail on this mold and the color is pretty!
The Fjord crosses on this mold are always neat
Love this as a unicorn too!
A very nice bay dude!
I love that this customization gives off Suffolk Punch vibes
A simple yet not so simple black. Very elegant!
The hair trappings are so fun!
Lovely color on this friend!
I was seriously tempted by this guy when he didn't sell out right away, but given how much I spent on my OOAK from this sale I did need to to abstain 😅
Love this guy's color!!
I did seriously almost buy this one after my first checkout but thankfully I deliberated too long and someone else jumped on him. I'm sure he's awesome though, how could he not be with that holo!
Very lovely golden palomino!!

Pebble Mule

I am sad that I did have to miss the EQ dinner because I chose the Breyer Swap Meet, but given how many there are I might be able to snag one someday!
Super lovely bay app!
A fine leopard and her spots <3
The final Zebra of the trio, you know I had to feature them all!
Cute patchy pinto!
Another of last year's prizes that I adore! (I did enter the photo show but sadly, no luck winning one)
So much sass!!
This pic got cropped oddly but this is another of those tye-dye plus gold mapping that I found really fun
Super sleek bay roan!
Love this shimmery blue hue
Another fab golden palomino
You can't go wrong with a dun mule <3
Bringing that attitude to the table
Dunalino, a lesser seen color that is expertly crafted here
I so wish I'd had budget to shop during MM last year! This oil slick color is siiiick
Oil slick, but on a white base. My birthstone is opal so yeah, if this one or the last one ever surfaces for a not-insane price, I'd be all over that
Dun plus unicorn! Heaps of fun
Spooky decos aren't necessarily my thing, but the color combo on a unicorn is fab
Roan pinto mule!!
Shiny looking pinto mule! :D
Lovely dark appy color <3
I want to say I also featured the Large Mule version of this one earlier! Very nice

Pebble Rearing

So I also don't collect this mold (there's something about the forehead I haven't been able to get past, which sucks because otherwise I think he's great). I did however briefly contemplate buying one of these at EQ on Saturday until I saw Ken (also holo, but smaller)
The artistry on this piece is outstanding!

I very much adore this color and I would not be sad if I had something like this to be my one representative of the mold (or just get me to like it)

Pebble WB

The mane and tail work on this one adds so much movement to the sculpt!
A bay tobiano pinto is always well appreciated
A lovely bay, simple and effective
Another very interesting multi color deco, I like it a lot!
PURPLE pinto
Love me a good metallic chestnut!
This buckskin is also adorable!
This raspberry deco color is totally delicious

Pony - Traditional

Here's another great realism + deco combo that isn't the flashiest out there but still catches the eye
Now this piece is something spectacular! I may not be a mural aficionado but I appreciate the artistry that went into this one

Ok I say I don't care for murals but this pastel rainbow with a subtle pattern is just too cute!

Remington

I would love to see more pics of these guys, but there's a very good chance that I'd pounce if I ever saw one, again for a reasonable enough price
Gotta shout out the holo!!
I wonder just how different this guy is from the other deco above, since they're both blue holo
Pretty bay roan!
I enjoy this neat medium gray, got dapples for days
This concept that was done on several 2024 models is fantastic!
The pink in the hair is a nice touch and love that he can show in realistic classes too!
Uggh such a pretty contrast-y light gray <3
Yay fleabites! And he has a fun name 😂
Soft grays are so lovely sometimes
I'm picky on cremellos, but this one's excellent
This ISH long tail is really cool on Remmy!
SO PINK! SO HOT! SO FANTABULOUS!
Amazing sunset colored beauty
Gothic Unicorns are rad
Unicorn and purple, woohoo!
That's a spicy meatball
This mold actually does cremello quite well
Yet another lovely light gray

Thoroughbred - Traditional

I'm not the biggest TB mold fan but the ocean tail just hits different
A lovely chestnut boi
This guy reminds me of the one I used to own on this mold, Midas. But newer and more detailed of course!
Bay roan fan club
The mane on this guy is awesome

Trotting Draft

Hello chrome and dapples!
A fun and fuzzy gray
I'm surprised that I haven't featured a ton of Caroline pieces, but you can't go wrong with her execution of the black color! paired with the dramatic and intricate hairstyle, this model has a commanding presence.
A happy appy trotting merrily along
Champagne is another color you don't see very often, and this amber shade has all the little details
This gray is immaculate in customization and color! Stunning
I am pretty sure my jaw dropped and I squeaked out a shocked "MEL!!!" when I saw this the first time. I want this on Everything please
I loved seeing many first time guest artists in 2024 and Heather's style translated so well into the OF paint! Those dapples tho!
Another very lovely light gray with awesome hair
The tilted head on this one gives him so much character! (And bay roan wooot)

Warmblood - Traditional

We got a real treat with some of the Purdy pieces this year, including this Warmblood which is rarely used anymore

WHEW!! OMG finally done! That felt way more overwhelming to finish in January than it did now in May. Go me!

The ones I added this past year!

I received "No Fears", the dapple black. I was hoping for either of the Remmys so I'm very happy!
I had to indulge in the hot pink party!
I was very surprised this guy was still available on my 2nd trip through the line (first time I passed through to pay for Sublime). This was after all of the wristband folks had gone shopping! Both him and Romer were on my first cut priority list (I'd saved pics to my phone from the album on FB of everything I was interested in, then "favorited" the top tier ones within that album).
This guy caught my gaze when I was waiting in line to pay for Sublime. I was thrilled when he was still there by the time I went through the line proper!
I am super grateful and honored that I was invited to judge for EQ! I enjoyed getting to spend more time with the community. And of course, he's a dreamboat <3
Pink Holo? Sign me up!!
It was REALLY difficult to pass on the Paladin color for my Chips guy, but I'd just bought Ken and wanted to have a realistic color on the mold too. Maybe someday I'll come across a Chip Paladin (I don't recall how many were made)
I was so thrilled that I managed to grab Miss Maple! I fell in love the first time I saw her. For the rest of the year, she sat on my desk and I thoroughly enjoyed gazing over at her periodically during the day.
Peachy!! I, like many other club members, chose Custom Peachy. Mine is Satin finish! I met a glossy one at the recent show and she's very cute in that as well.
My final addition of the year, though technically she arrived in 2025 (and so did my last Loyalty Club horse) was the incredible Snow Angel. This pic does not do her justice, she's ethereal in person. There's a subtle shimmer to her finish that is definitely tough to capture in photos alone.

And with that, the massive blog post I've been sitting on since the early part of the year is finally done! I did enjoy myself here but...maybe not a prompt to repeat for 2025! I am pretty sure there's already a big list I could put together just from the first 5 months. I hope this was still enjoyable! I may not have written a ton about most pieces, but I wanted to say at least one positive thing about them all <3

Please excuse any formatting or editing errors, I am tired and I may go back and fix some of it later, for now I'm just glad the words are on the page!
