Catching Up And Looking Forward

 Hi folks!

I've been absent for a while again- I apologize. I have had a couple of posts that I've worked on in the last month, but nothing has been finished enough for me to publish. I'd like to take this shorter post to catch you up on what's been happening recently!

Newest additions - my BF and I stopped by the local hobby shop yesterday. Still no dun Django, but other than that I am done with both the blister card horses and the blind bag paint packs for now.

There are still a lot of unknowns ahead in 2022, which are impeding things like deciding whether or not to attend BreyerFest in person and if I'll be able to host my novice show this year. I'm still planning to attend the two shows I've committed to (one judging, one showing) in May and June, but for now I won't be signing up for anything else. Some of my digital hobby projects will likely be affected as well- the Favorites Survey response tallying will be going slower than I'd like it to (I haven't started on them yet, and I closed the surveys last Wednesday). Thank you to all who participated! I am still interested in getting the Region 10 Forum site launched, I think that will be doable in the next couple of months, though for like a week or so that was iffy. And there's another "secret project" that's needed to be launched for months now, so I should also be ok to try and get that out there. I might talk about that here...the plan was to post to facebook friends first to gauge volume, but I'm not sure how many people actually read this who aren't on FB, so it might not add too much interest to be considered overwhelming.

I have a new Shrinky Survey that's being built, but it's going to take a lot of work, so I'm not sure if it will run for the first time this year or not. That's something I can work on in between other projects, but it's not the biggest priority- just another survey to add to my schedule eventually. I think it may provide some excellent research. The format will be a bit different as I'm asking people to report not only if they have shrinky versions of each model produced during the known Shrinky era, but also to note if they own non-Shrinky versions of those models as well. It will list all of the known production runs by mold, and has a section at the end for folks to discuss any Test models they own from that era that are shrinking/oozing.

I'm still working on selling my cousin's collection - if you are in southern New England or are willing to meet me within that area (or you are attending an upcoming Region 10 show, minus the NYS ones) and you're curious as to what's available, leave a comment or send me an email at pixelperfectstables@gmail.com. With very few exceptions I am not willing to ship anything at this time.

It's definitely been pretty quiet around here hobby-additions wise, April tends to be a bit slow outside of the SM Club release which hasn't been posted yet. I'm planning to bring home a new flockie next month- a Chestnut rocker that's still in the box, which is nice to look forward to. It's a brown eye/brown rocker version which I do have, but the box is just so cool! (Also a positive, I can finally add photos of the box to that post from months ago where I couldn't find a photo I thought I had, haha!)

The March Madness bracket for guessing the BreyerFest Surprise model is still ongoing over at Mares in Black's page. I designed the bracket again this year! Keep an eye out as they have been posting the next bracket every couple of days. We're slowly closing in on the Final Four!

Thank you all for your patience with my chaotic posting "schedule", and I'm happy that you're here! I should be able to share some of the good things outside of the hobby that are in the works at a later point. :)
